Hey, and welcome to my website!

I don’t know exactly how you ended up here - but I’m glad you did.

This space is here to present what I consider my life’s work.

Or rather: my life’s projects. Because it’s not just one – there are quite a few of them leading to one big project. And they’re only "small projects" in the sense that they're still in early stages - but definitely not small in ambition.

I’ve been working on them for months now. A lot of time went into research. Every day there’s a new model, a new tool, a new AI capability. If you follow what’s happening on Instagram, X, or wherever - it’s pretty clear: this field is moving fast. And I believe it will continue to grow and reshape how we live.

In China, there are already robot police officers patrolling the streets. In industry, automation is accelerating at full speed.

Let’s be honest: AI will eventually touch every human life. From birth to death - in schools, hospitals, jobs, homes. Whether we like it or not. And I don’t just want to watch that change. I want to be part of it.

That’s how Benji was born.

Benji is a drone - an AI-powered assistant. Think of it less like a toy and more like a quiet, helpful companion at home.

No screen time
- but fully capable of talking, thinking, and understanding you. With the power of a large language model (LLM) at its core.

  1. Battery life
Drones just don’t fly long enough. Yet. I’m hopeful that new technologies, fast-charging or swappable batteries, or even new energy systems will change that
    - especially with AI in the mix.

  2. Noise
Let’s be real: nobody wants a loud drone buzzing around the house. I’ve been looking into quieter propulsion
    - toroidal propellers - but those are more like band-aids. I want something truly quiet, right from the start. Maybe I’ll end up focusing on the development of plasma propulsion - it definitely seems promising.

  3. Computing power
Benji isn’t just meant to fly
    - it should think. I want it to browse the web, edit files, help your kid study, keep your pet company, or even act as a home security system. I also believe in the ongoing development of computing power. Did you know there are already processors that work with light - and the light processor itself doesn’t even generate heat?

Three major problems

Not just a graphic - but an expressive, emergent face made of dynamic particles, controlled by AI. It should show emotion, empathy, personality.

When you talk to Benji, and say something like “That landing was rough,” it should respond not just with words, but also with a matching look. The idea is to connect this to the core LLM - where Benji’s "mind" lives - so that every interaction has emotional depth.

That’s what I’m currently training and experimenting with. And yes, I see product potential in this. Imagine talking to a digital assistant on a website - not just with text, but through a lifelike video call with a virtual being.

Influencers might use it to stay present 24/7. Companies could use it for first-level support. And it would still feel human - because it learns from you, and represents you.

You choose what it knows. You define how far it goes. You stay in control.

giving Benji a face

I work at a call center. I don’t have a big budget.

So I make do with what I’ve got - free tools, open source models, shared GPUs. And later on, I’ll try to scale things up with better infrastructure and maybe some crowdfunding.

Even if it all fails as a business idea - I’ll have built something cool, learned a ton, and laid the foundation for what comes next.

At some point, I might launch a Kickstarter campaign. But for now, I’m keeping things quiet - because building something real takes time.

This is what a first finished product might look like.

the how

I’m documenting everything, and I will start sharing behind-the-scenes content. But first, the prototype has to exist. That’s my main focus right now.

Thanks for sticking around this long.

If you read all of this, you’re clearly curious - and that’s awesome.
I’d love it if you followed my journey on social media, and stayed in the loop as Benji comes to life.

Anyone who supports this project - in any way - is someone I deeply appreciate.
And in return, I plan to give back: parts of the code will be shared publicly on GitHub and more is planned.

Let’s build the future.

Together.

every bit counts

for the future

We’re building something daring, smart - and a little bit wild.

If you're the kind of person who spots potential before the crowd does, you’ll want to stay close.

Big moves are coming. Smart minds get in early.

I’m not posting much just yet - but things can kick off at any moment.
